Affirmations.

“Everything you take for granted is a blessing. Everything you fear is a friend in disguise. Everything you want is a part of you. Everything you hate you hate about yourself. Everything you own does not define you. Everything you feel is the only Truth there is to know.

Everything you wish for is already on its way to you. Everything you think creates your life. Everything you seek for you will find. Everything you resist will stick around. Everything you let go of stays if it’s supposed to. Everything you need is right where you are.

Every time you bless another your bless yourself. Every time you blame another you lose your power. Every time you think you can, you can. Every time you fall you must get up and try again. Every time you cry you’re one tear closer to joy. Every time you ask for forgiveness, all you have to do is forgive yourself.

Everyone you see is your reflection. Everyone you know mirrors you. Everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants to live in joy. Everyone seeks a higher purpose. Everyone breathes the same breath. Everyone needs love to survive. Everyone has a purpose to fulfill.

Everyone’s the same as everyone else. We just get caught up in labels, names, skin color and religion. Everyone’s the same as everyone else. No one wants to feel the pain. Everyone’s the same as everyone else. Everyone is dying for love to remain.”

Broccoli Bomb

JULY AWESOMENESS!

If I haven’t been supplying myself with daily dose of love and inspirational writings lately, I would’ve write a very angry post right now. But today I learned to stand in my own strength and refuse to break down when ‘opinions’ striked. I turned the table around and suck all the opinions given oh-so-freely.

People can be mean sometimes. People can be rude and selfish. People often think they can and have the permission to judge and to reduce a person to their worst state. I was confronted with my biggest fear today, and to be able to stand so still, enduring the disgusted look from such judgeful opinion, I honestly feel I can any moment explode to pieces. But then I think again; what’s new? Everyday, whether we realize it or not, people throw opinions and insights of what they see; feel; hear. Just as the people have no right to judge others, I too have no permission to judge the opinion-givers wrong, mean, or anything else.

Moving on to the lesson; do you know when a person serve you that plate of rude words, you will always find something good in that very plate? Take it as Mum serving you a plate full of mean green broccoli and nothing else. When you so forcefully swallow the stems of goodness (like the good girl you are), what will you have in return? All the healthy green vitamins in the body! Okay that is a very awkward-understanding metaphore, but you get it.. :)
Instead of boiling over the sounds of echoing opinions in your mind, take a deeper look of whatever it is that made the person think that way towards you. You get to know if the good in you is good enough; and if you actually still have that pleeeeeeeentiful of stinkin’ habits to get rid of. Then you can work on it. Replace, replenish, refresh and renew yourself. Not to prove the person wrong; but more to prove to yourself if you can take up the challenge to be a better you. Don’t get mad of that person; in fact thank him for helping you fix yourself to be a better being.

I know these sounds so easy to just write about. But trust me, you can easily do it if you have enough patience and strength to acknowledge your faulty areas. If this was the 17 year old me, I would just instantly break down in front of the person. I would refuse to listen to their thoughts and shrug it off with angry attitude. It’s painful, sure, to be judged and underestimated. But when you replace the anger with a humble perspective and gratitude, you will find peace in any chaotic situation.
So the next time you face a hurtful conversation, before you explodes and talk back in anger, breathe and count to 10. 20. 30. However long it takes for you to relax that stiff bones. Remember to soak in the words and find out what is the essence you can squeeze out and drink in. Gulp down that power juice and be a new you. Don’t let the words make you lose your self esteem. We are all human; all laying under the same roof of atmosphere, walking and standing in the planet with our own unique imperfections and greatness. As Mastin Kipp from thedailylove.com (do yourself a favor; subscribe to the blog’s daily emails. It’s gonna be life -changing.) said; Race against the perfection; so you will find yourself constantly growing to a better you. Because perfect doesn’t exist. Perfect is only an idea. :)

Have a great great week for you. Sending you hugs from a body full of broccoli goodness. :p

Sticks and stones may break my bones. But words; they can never hurt me.
